About Eleanor J. Barone, M.D.

Dr. Eleanor Barone is is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Barone is a graduate of the New York's Columbia University. She earned her Medical Degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine in 1992. Dr. Barone joined The Bassin Center For Plastic Surgery @ our Tampa Florida Plastic Surgery Center in 2009.

For the next seven years, she attended the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. During her post-graduate training there, she completed her internship and surgical residency and was appointed Chief Resident. She remained at the Medical College to complete a two-year research fellowship, studying chronic wounds, scarring and healing. She presented her findings at multiple medical conferences for the American College of Surgeons, Plastic Surgery Research Council and the International Wound Healing Congress in Italy, among others. Dr. Barone completed her plastic surgery residency at the State University of New York Health Science Center in Brooklyn. She then re-located to Florida and worked in private practice, there and in Hawaii, for many years.
